Regarding the exhibition FIREHEAD: SOUL LIBERATE
We extend a warm invitation to you to embark on a journey of spiritual liberation with us. The FIREHEAD: SOUL LIBERATE exhibition represents a significant solo showcase by Songsin Tiewsoomboon, an artist celebrated for his creation of characters and graphic novels like “Beansprout and Firehead.”
For Songsin Tiewsoomboon, “Firehead” and every character within his narratives are not confined to the pages; they embody lives within an alternative realm, one that he encourages others to explore. His artistic endeavors, storytelling, and a wide array of art forms developed over more than two decades in the field have established a connection between these two worlds. Songsin firmly believes that our thoughts and spirits can eternally attain freedom, and art serves as one of the gateways guiding us into a realm of limitless perspectives.
Inspired by this profound philosophy, this exhibition showcases an array of large-scale artworks, including original pieces from the graphic novel “Beansprout and Firehead,” which have never been publicly displayed before. Songsin, accomplished both as a painter and a literary artist, presents pieces that seamlessly blend surrealism and profundity. Each artwork boasts a unique style, narrating its own story, whether through precise lines and vibrant colors bursting with vitality, finely detailed strokes delving into the depths of the soul, or warm, inviting atmospheres that evoke a sense of familiarity. The exhibition also provides an intricately designed soundscape, delivering an immersive experience that encapsulates the essence of the artworks.
Each artistic technique employed in creating these works seeks to channel the distinctive energy of their forms, transmitting it to the beholders. In return, these artworks mirror the truth, breathe life into existence, and liberate the spirit.
