OCTOBER29
October29 (Thai, b.1987)
The artist who owns the character Hele, the sly bunny monster that appears everywhere.
In an era where collaborations between brands and artists are very well received, we often see the red and black rabbit demon character with a provocative expression along the walls of streets and alleys. This character appears everywhere, and the artist who created these works is “October29”.
Pan-Takrit Krutphum or “October29” (his alias in the art circle that originated from his birth month and day) has been fond of drawing since childhood. Due to his playful personality, he likes to draw caricatures. When in middle school, he enjoyed skateboarding with his friends, resulting in his interest in the related culture, namely graffiti. In that era, he often wrote the tag name in his own style and began to want to study art more seriously. As a result, he went for a further study at the College of Chang Silpa. He enjoyed creating art that was out of the box. He liked to draw cartoons and things that did not have to be realistic as you saw them. He enjoyed pop art, fun, bright colors, art images that looked retouched, communication design, or illustration work in magazines. After searching for himself for a long time, he decided to study at the Faculty of Communication Arts, Rangsit University. The curriculum responded to his style of creating work. That era was when the work of street art happened to be gaining in popularity. It was also his favorite art style, and that’s why “October29” has been on his artistic journey with street art ever since.
“October29” is now hailed as one of the most famous street artists and owns a unique character, Hele, the red and black rabbit demon who appears to make fun with turbulence and overwhelming emotions everywhere on the road. His appearance also includes being on various products of famous brands.
